THE O. OKON III ENDOWMENT FUND.
Give Today!
Your gift counts toward your annual gift to Stanford University. You can also volunteer and help us meet our goal.
With invaluable help from the School of Engineering, we have established a fellowship for outstanding students at Stanford pursuing a graduate degree in engineering.
We have raised nearly 60% of the $250,000 necessary to endow the fund. Please give and join us in making history!

OKOKON B.OKON III
On January 23, 2008 Okokon B. Okon III (BS ’89, MS ’91) would have been 40 years old. It is still hard to believe that he is no longer with us, his life tragically cut short. What Okon would have been working on today and what he ultimately would have accomplished with his life – we wonder.
After his death, friends wanted to establish a lasting memorial to Okon. After much discussion, they decided that a marker or other physical monument would not have the critical impact on people that Okon would have wanted. We decided that a more lasting memorial – with real impact on people’s lives – would a scholarship at Stanford bearing Okon’s name.
When many of us think of Okon, we remember want he showed us as a role model, what he taught us as a teacher and what he shared with us as a friend. |
